I sell things I am never going to use again on local classifieds. I also purchase many items from classifieds at a fraction of the retail cost. I use CFL and LED lights around the house. You can get LED night lights at walmart that only use 0.3W and will light up a bathroom, hallway, stairwell, or a kids bedroom nicely during the night and they turn off during the day with a sensor.
